STC is a micro new writing company that punches well above its weight.

Formed in 2000 by Actor/Director Chris Garner and Designer Sue Condie, STC continues to create visually arresting productions that pack a punch.

We produce high quality professional drama, particularly focusing on new writing through commissioning and working with Gloucestershire and South West based playwrights. We are committed to serving the educational needs of the community, as well as working alongside and with, people of all abilities. We initiate and coordinate projects that are relevant and of interest to the local community.

Since 2000, STC has created a number of touring shows both locally and nationally and has co-produced with major companies including The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham; Northern Broadsides; The Dukes Theatre, Lancaster and Prime Theatre Company, Swindon. The company has strong roots within the community and is well known for producing high quality, visually compelling, engaging and accessible work.
